Purpose: Solid Waste Advisory CommitteeThe Solid Waste Advisory Committee was formed to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on Solid Waste Issues.Solid Waste issues are complex and not widely understood. They have far reaching impacts on health, safety and the economy of the residents of our County. The committee members are selected to obtain views representing business, government and residents from all three county commissioner districts and the three incorporated cities in the county. This committee is kept informed of Solid Waste Department activities, studies the impact of local, state and federal legislation and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The Committee is chartered to meet at least twice each year. However, it meets more often when necessary. |
