BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Klickitat County, Washington IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF HOCTOR ROAD NO. 33000, OLD HWY 8, COUNTY ROAD NO. 37000, LAKESIDE ROAD NO. 19270 AND CANYON ROAD NO. 13000 Resolution No. 02804 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that certain portions of old alignments of county roads are of no further value to Klickitat County and hereby declares its intention to vacate the following: HOCTOR ROAD Hoctor Road, County Road No. 33000 lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment. Said portions are located in the north half and the southeast quarter of Section 1, Township 3 North, Range 18 East W.M.; the southwest quarter of Section 6, Township 3 North, Range 19 East W.M.; the north half of Section 7, Township 3 North, Range 19 East W.M. as shown on the right of way plans for CRP 219 on file in the office of the County Engineer, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington and bearing the date of August 13, 2002. OLD HWY 8 Old Hwy. 8, County Road No. 37000 lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment. Said portions are located in Section 8, Township 3 North, Range 19 East W.M as shown on the right of way plans for CRP 218 on file in the office of the County Engineer, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington and bearing the date of August 13, 2002. LAKESIDE ROAD That portion of Lakeside Road, County Road No. 19270, lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment. Said portions are located in the southwest quarter of Section 24, Township 6 North, Range 12 East W.M. and the northwest quarter and the southwest quarter of Section 25, Township 6 North, Range 12 East W.M. as shown on the right of way plans for CRP 185 on file in the office of the County Engineer, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington bearing the date of June 21, 2000. CANYON ROAD That portion of Canyon Road, County Road No. 13000, lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment. Said portions are located in the north half of Section 23, Township 4 North, Range 12 East W.M. and with in Section 14, Township 4 North, Range 12 East W.M. as shown on the right of way plans for CRP 152 on file in the office of the County Engineer, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington dated April 27, 1999. That portion of County Road, County Road No. 13000, lying outside of the right of way of the newly constructed alignment. Said portion is located in the southwest quarter of Section 2 and the southeast quarter of Section 3, Township 4 North, Range 12 East W.M. as shown on the right of way plans for CRP 189 on file in the office of the County Engineer, 115 South Golden, Goldendale, Washington dated April 27, 1999. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Engineer is directed to make an examination of said rights of way and file his report as to whether said rights of way should be vacated, whether the public will benefit by the vacation of said rights of way and any other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board. FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing for said vacation of described right of way will be held in the Commissioners’ Chambers in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Goldendale, Washington on the 15th day of March 2005 at the hour of 1:30 p.m. at which time any objections against or approval for said proposed vacation will be heard and the Board of Commissioners hereby orders that due legal notice of said hearing be given as prescribed by statute.
