SKCN is a community group affiliated with the Family Policy Council and Community Mobilization Against Substance Abuse. SKCN is a volunteer governed organization serving all of Skamania and Klickitat County. The Network focus is to support local efforts to prevent and address the following youth issues:
SKCN meets on the last Friday of even numbered months at the Lyle Hotel from 10:00am to 1:00pm. All meetings are open to the public. For more information contact please call 493-1558. CURRENT PROJECTS In an effort to develop better access to parenting support and education and to expand opportunities for parents to grow and feel nurtured, the Skamania Klickitat Community network has hired a parent program coordinator: Johanna Roe, Parent Program Coordinator “Skamania Klickitat Community Network" February 2010 Parenting Newsletter Johanna has developed a website available for local parents and providers of parenting information in the Skamania/Klickitat county region. To access the website, click on the link below: http://community.gorge.net/skcnparentsupport Funding Requests Funds have been set aside for projects in Klickitat and Skamania Counties to support the mission of the Skamania Klickitat Community Network (SKCN). Applications that address SKCN benchmarks and receive other community support will receive priority. Applications must be submitted by the 15th of even numbered months and will be reviewed at our SKCN meetings.
