June 8, 2011 Press ReleaseHomeowners in Klickitat County will be receiving another blue Revaluation Notice in the mail on June 10, 2011. Unfortunately, the postcard notices that were sent on June 2, 2011 incorrectly stated that they were for the assessment year 2010.In order to reduce any confusion about the assessment year, we are mailing new notices. These notices will state correctly that they affect your 2012 taxes and compare your 2010 assessed value to your 2011 value. The values will remain the same unless you have already contacted our office about your assessed value and we updated your value. Although this was a mix up between the mailing service and our office, I take full responsibility for this error. I assure you that this will not occur in the future and the mailing service has agreed to do this mailing for us at no additional cost.
