At-Home COVID-19 Test Kit Information

As of September 25, every U.S. household can again place an order to receive four more free COVID-19 rapid tests, delivered right to your home! https://www.covid.gov/tests

Expiration dates have been extended for many tests. Check your tests before you throw them out. Follow the link for more information: https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests#list

If you test positive:

  • Days 0-5. Stay home and isolate for 5 days from the start of your symptoms.
  • Days 6-10. If symptoms are improving and you have been fever free for 24 hours (without the use of medication), you may leave isolation while wearing a mask.
  • Days 10: You may leave isolation, mask free as long as you are fever free and other symptoms are improving.

Tests can continue to show positive for up to 90 days, a negative test is not needed to leave isolation or return to work.

If you have been exposed but test negative: Pay attention to how you feel and test again in a few days if you’re feeling sick. Wear a mask and limit your contact with others
